Simon Bashford Partner

Simon is a partner at EYCO with over 16 years' experience in the commercial property sector working across a broad range of sectors including leisure, retail and hotels. He provides asset management advice of various clients’ holdings in conjunction with assessing the viability of development or redevelopment opportunities for mixed or single user projects. Key clients include APAM, The Crown Estate, Buccleuch Property, Tesco, Lidl and Pure Gym.

Alexandra Campbell Associate Partner

Alexandra has recently moved from London where she has spent 7 years working within retail agency advising a number of occupiers and prominent Landlords during her time at Lunson Mitchenall and Knight Frank.
Alexandra is working in the Retail Agency Team across High Street, Shopping Centre and Out of Town assets. Having recently moved back to Edinburgh, Alexandra is enjoying re-exploring the city and all the new shopping and restaurants it has to offer!

Douglas Curley Consultant

Back again by popular demand!

Douglas is a Consultant having retired as a partner at the end of 2020 after over 30 years with the company. He headed up the In Town Professional team, specialising in the conduct of rent reviews and lease renewals of retail and business space premises nationwide on behalf of both tenants and institutional landlords.

Owen Davies Trainee Surveyor

Owen is currently on a year long placement from his studies at Edinburgh Napier University, where he is currently studying BSc (Hons) Real Estate Surveying. During his time here he will be assisting the development team in Glasgow with site acquisition for a major international brand, as well as working with the Edinburgh based retail agency team. Outside of work Owen enjoys going to the gym, playing golf and going to gigs.

Robert Farmer Partner

Robert is a partner and heads up the Out of Town Agency team. He has extensive UK-wide experience having been involved with the out of town sector for over 30 years. Originally focussing almost exclusively on professional matters, since joining EYCO 26 years ago his workload has broadened to include asset management, leasing and tenant acquisitions. Robert provides rent review and lease consultancy advice to a number of key clients including British Land, Hammerson, The Crown, Patrizia and Capreon. He is also part of the UK-wide B&Q disposals/acquisitions team.
Rob is a keen cyclist who can regularly be seen clocking up the miles in East Lothian. When not on his bike, Rob also enjoys a range of sports and standing on the touchline watching his son Charlie play rugby.

Martin Fleming Financial Controller

Martin is an experienced Financial Controller, with over 20 years business partnering expertise, including 18 years working in the property sector for Cushman & Wakefield (formerly DTZ). Martin’s responsibilities in the firm are wide-ranging and cover Finance, IT, HR and all other aspects of office management.

Peter Fraser Partner

Peter is a Partner in the Business Space team, having joined in January 2025. Peter previously worked at Avison Young where he led their Edinburgh Agency team for 11 years. Peter’s work there covered Edinburgh, the East and North of Scotland, working for a variety of Landlords, Occupiers and Public Sector clients across both the office and industrial sectors. Peter has experience of leading multidisciplinary teams and headed up NatWest Group’s branch disposal programme in Scotland, overseeing the disposal of over 150 properties across 6 years. At EYCO, Peter is immersed in both Landlord disposals and Tenant acquisitions, enjoying the problem solving nature of his job, identifying and delivering solutions to the property problems of his various clients. Outside of work, Peter has a keen interest in sport; mostly when it involves his four children – be it football, rugby, hockey or golf. And when he’s feeling particularly optimistic he’ll take in the odd Inverness Caledonian Thistle game.

Audrey Gebbie Accounts Administrator/PA

Audrey has been with the business for the last 25 years in various roles, having previously worked for a firm of chartered accountants in a secretarial role. In addition to working as a finance assistant within the Finance team, Audrey is PA to the Business Space team and also has responsibility for our in-house Access database.
In her spare time Audrey enjoys spending time family and friends, walking her Cocker Spaniel and supporting her local football team.

Neil Gordon Partner

Neil is a partner at EYCO having joined over 20 years ago. In his early career with two national agencies Neil got his property grounding in rating and rent reviews but for the last 25 years he has specialised in the office agency and lease consultancy market across Scotland and occasionally beyond. Neil is recognised as having particular expertise in advising occupiers having helped numerous businesses large and small including Burness Paull, Cairn Energy, Craneware, Johnston Carmichael, Kyowa Kirin, FanDuel, The Leith Agency and Rockstar.
Away from work Neil enjoys spending time with his friends, family and his three dogs – Lyra the cavapoo, downward dog and hair of the dog.

Tommy Halligan Graduate Surveyor

Tommy recently joined EYCO after completing a Master’s in City Planning and Real Estate Development at the University of Glasgow. His primary focus is assisting the in-town retail team with a variety of instructions.
Outside of work, Tommy is passionate about fitness, music and travelling, always looking for new places to explore and experiences to enjoy.

Ruari Hobkirk Surveyor

Ruari joined EYCO in 2022 as a Graduate Surveyor after graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Property Development and Planning. Ruari passed his APC in November 2024 and is currently working in the Retail Agency team assisting on a range of High Street and Shopping Centre instructions. Outside of work Ruari has a keen interest in rugby, golf and skiing.

Kevin Hughes Partner

Kevin is a partner in the Retail Agency team who joined the business 14 years ago and now heads up our Glasgow office. He oversees the development team and ensures we take a strategic approach when providing clients with advice across a wide sprectrum of sectors. Most recently Kevin has been advising Starbucks on rolling out their new drive-thru concept across the UK, having acquired 24 new drive-thru sites for them in 2020. Kevin also acts for various other retailers in their acquisition and disposal work including Schuh and Tesco as well as advising numerous landlords on their high street portfolios.

Callum Keane Associate Partner

Callum joined EYCO as a graduate surveyor in the Retail Agency Team in October 2019, having secured his undergraduate degree in Real Estate from Glasgow Caledonian University. He qualified in December 2021. Callum deals with a variety of high street instructions, as well as working with the shopping leasing teams on Burns Mall, Kilmarnock; The Piazza Centre, Paisley and The Centre, Livingston. Callum is based in the London office.
Away from the office, Callum is a keen golfer, tennis player and skier.

Duart Keith Partner

Duart joined EYCO in 1995 having spent the previous 4 years based in Glasgow with James Barr & Son and Grimley JR Eve. He is a partner and heads up the Capital Markets team. He advises on retail warehousing throughout the UK, as well as retail, business and office investment transactions throughout Scotland and the north of England. Duart is a keen runner, skier and rugby enthusiast.

Eric Lindgren Partner

Eric is a partner in the Retail Agency team and has been with the business since qualifying over 28 years ago. Having been involved in high street agency for a number of years, Eric has specialised over the last 14 years or so in the ever growing restaurant and leisure sector and his knowledge and expertise in this area is second to none. Key clients include Pizza Express, Burger King and Azzurri Restaurants (Zizzi / Ask Italian). He is also involved in key leisure landlord instructions at Braehead XSITE, The Gate, Newcastle; St Enoch, Glasgow and Haymarket. Edinburgh. He is also retained for acquisition work for Tesco Express and through that has excellent knowledge for roadside and neighbourhood opportunities across Scotland where he also acts for the likes of Papa Johns and Indigo Sun amongst others.
Outside work Eric has two grown up children who keep him busy but when he has time he enjoys sport and in particular running, rugby and golf and when he wants a reality check watches Dunfermline Athletic.

Amy Matteo Graduate Surveyor

Amy joined EYCO in July 2022 as a placement student, and following her graduation from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Real Estate Surveying she has joined the Business Space team as a graduate surveyor. In her spare time Amy enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants/recipes, and catching up with friends and family.

Louise McKenna Associate Partner

Louise joined EYCO in March 2020 from Cushman & Wakefield where she spent 4 years working within their retail agency and lease advisory teams on a wide variety of landlord and occupier instructions. Louise is based in our Glasgow office and is part of the leasing team at Glasgow Fort on behalf of British Land. She is also part of the professional team, advising tenants and landlords on rent reviews and lease renewals on both retail and business space premises across Scotland. In January 2023 Louise was promoted to Associate Partner.
In her spare time Louise enjoys travelling, shopping and has recently taken up hill walking.

Neil McConnachie Managing Partner

Neil joined EYCO in 2004 specialising in office agency. He is Managing Partner and manages both landlord disposals and tenant acquisitions across Scotland. As well as acting for a number of established professional firms Neil has worked with many young technology companies and has played an integral role in helping them grow their businesses by negotiating deals for them to relocate to new office premises. Clients include Skyscanner, FreeAgent, People's Postcode Lottery, Thorntons Solicitors and Turcan Connell.
He loves both participating and watching all sports.

Debbie O’Connor Marketing Administrator

Debbie has been with the business for over 20 years and her part-time role includes managing the website, producing brochures and property particulars, handling PR and dealing with graphics, images and maps. She works mainly with the retail team and also supports the business space and development agency teams.
Outside the office Debbie spends time walking her dog, researching local history, singing, practicing yoga and veganising her favourite recipes.

Patrick Over Partner

Patrick is a Partner in the Investment Department, having joined in September 2023. Prior to this Patrick worked at Green & Partners in London where he was a Partner in the Investment Department focusing on the high street, retail warehouse, leisure and supermarket sector.
Today, Patrick is directly involved in the acquisition, disposal and funding of a wide variety of assets, across the UK, working closely with a diverse selection of clients encompassing major UK institutions and pension funds, property investment and development companies, high ‘net worth’ investors and private equity groups. Patrick is based in the London office.
Outside of work, Patrick has a keen interest in fitness, golf, rugby and skiing.

Lucy Robinson Personal Assistant

Lucy began working as a personal assistant for EYCO in 2007, having previously worked as a secretary at a Glasgow-based media company. She provides secretarial support to the Out of Town, Professional, Development and Rating teams, with additional responsibilities relating to marketing and corporate entertainment.
Outside the office Lucy enjoys music, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new walks with her Labrador puppy

Alastair Rowe Partner

Alastair joined EYCO 13 years ago as a graduate surveyor and is now a partner heading up the in town Retail Agency team where he deals with high street acquisitions and disposals. He advises Bayne’s the Bakers on all of their acquisitions and existing portfolio and is part of the leasing team for St Enoch, Glasgow; Burns Mall, Kilmarnock; The Centre, Livingston; The Piazza, Paisley and The Thistles, Stirling.
Alastair is a keen sportsman who enjoys watching rugby, playing golf, skiing and cycling although the majority of his free time is now spent entertaining his two young boys, Isaac and Theo, with his wife Sarah.

Ian Whelan Partner

Ian is a Partner at EYCO, working within the In Town and Out of Town Agency teams. He has been with the business for over 30 years and has extensive experience in the UK retail property market, specialising in retail agency, but also advising clients on asset management strategies and development initiatives in order to preserve or enhance asset values. Ian acquired all of Primark’s Scottish stores and his track record of delivering major deals, knowledge of the retail property scene and high level contacts with major retailers and agents is second to none.

Ross Wilkie Partner

Ross is a Partner based in our Glasgow office with over 25 years experience in the Scottish retail property market. He has a proven track record in advising occupiers on their store expansions plans with key clients having included Holland & Barrett, Popeyes, Seasalt, The Works, The Gym Group, OCO West End (Starbucks franchisee) and Hotel Chocolat. Ross also has extensive experience in shopping centre leasing having worked on numerous shopping centre instructions throughout Scotland.
Outwith work Ross enjoys hill walking and when time permits he enjoys the great outdoors but most weekends can be found on the sidelines of the rugby pitch watching his sons play!

Craig Wilson Partner

Craig is a partner and has been with the business for 28 years, working across the professional and rating teams. He is widely recognised as an expert in both lease advisory issues and on business rates. Craig advises clients throughout the UK on rent reviews and on lease restructuring or renewals. This includes his representation of Asda, Farmfoods, Tesco, B&Q, Starbucks and Oak FurnitureLand. In business rates he has particular expertise in shopping centres, advising numerous major landlords and he also advises Primark and Farmfoods . Craig is on the RICS Panel of Independent Experts and is currently Chair of Accessible Retail which is a networking and fundraising group for those involved in the out of town property sector.

Away from work Craig enjoys spending time with his wife and grown-up sons, running in the hills with his dog, watching all levels of rugby and social time.
