Breakfast at Exchange Crescent

On behalf of our client, Sustrans, EYCO hosted an Edinburgh office agents breakfast tour this morning of their fully fitted 6,254 sq ft, ground floor suite at 1 Exchange Crescent.

The suite which is available on either an assignation or sub-let basis, was fitted out in 2022 and still presents as good as new, offering the following:

🤝 Welcome area/reception
⌛ 2 meeting rooms
☕ Staff café/townhall area
💡 Collaboration/project space
🚨 And much more!

If you have an occupier in mind and would like to arrange a viewing of the space, make sure you get in touch before it’s too late! Neil McConnachie, Peter Fraser and Amy Matteo would be delighted to show you around.

Also, a shout out to Pinkerton’s Catering for providing an exceptional breakfast which went down an absolute treat with all who attended!

New office in London

EYCO is now operating from our newly relocated London office at 33 Cavendish Square, right in the heart of the West End. As always, we would be delighted to welcome clients, contacts, and fellow agents to drop by and say hello.

Callum Keane has now relocated full-time to our London office, working alongside Patrick Over who focuses on capital markets.

While Callum continues to actively represent certain clients and service instructions in Scotland, making regular trips north, he is now also focused on advising on retail and development opportunities south of the border for both existing and new clients. Our London office works hand in hand with our agency colleagues in both Edinburgh and Glasgow whilst being closer to our London client base and English instructions.

Both Callum and Paddy are always keen to discuss opportunities, retailer requirements or bounce around ideas so just get in touch!

One of the perks of having an Edinburgh office!

EYCO have been out and about, taking in the sights and sounds of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, enjoying comedians, magicians, hypnotists, and even a bit of history – the US Prohibition during the 1920’s – while sampling a few illicit cocktails

It’s a great opportunity to catch up with our colleagues and friends, while supporting these talented artists right on our doorstep!

Across town at Musselburgh Racecourse, our young team soaked up the sun at the Ladies Day and even managed a couple of wins!

Thank you Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, Fringe By The Sea and Musselburgh Racecourse for some memorable experiences – see you next year!

Ian’s off to the high seas

Earlier this year after 12 years at the helm, Ian  handed over the Managing Partner responsibilities at EYCO to  Neil McConnachie. Ian said, “Knowing the business is in safe hands has enabled me to stand at a different helm for a short while at least. From the 31st August this year for approximately 12 weeks, I’ll be taking part in Legs 1 & 2 of the Clipper Ventures // Clipper Round the World Yacht Race as part of Team Qingdao, before returning to the business in late November. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but the timing works just now from a personal and corporate perspective.”

The race takes part every 2-years and allows 10 teams of amateur sailors to compete against each other on matched 70 ft racing yachts over an 8-leg race. Participants can be doing anything from a single leg to the complete circumnavigation. Leg 1 will take Ian over 6,250 NM from Portsmouth to Punta-Del-Este in Uruguay, and Leg 2 3,600 NM from Uruguay to Cape Town.

The event partners with UNICEF to raise essential funds to help support and protect the lives of children around the world and over £1.6 million has been raised since the partnership began. Team Qingdao’s fundraising target is £40,000.

If you would like to donate this is the link: https://www.justgiving.com/page/ian-whelan-2 and you can follow the race at: https://www.clipperroundtheworld.com/

Best of luck Ian!
